JCRED Editor-in-Chief Named Writing Competition Winner

JCRED Editor-in-Chief Ron Eniclerico Named Hon. William C. Conner Writing Competition Winner

The Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development is proud to announce that its Editor-in-Chief, Ron Eniclerico, was honored as 2nd Place Winner of the 2021 Hon. William C. Conner Writing Competition for his Note “Crises and Compulsory: Crafting a More Equitable Work-for-Hire Regime for Comic Book Creators.”

Earlier this year, Eniclerico’s Note was also named a winner during JCRED’s Best Notes ceremony.

In his acceptance speech for the Hon. William C. Conner Writing Competition, Eniclerico described his Note as addressing the comic book industry and how its structure has “disincentivized creativity, which is the exact opposite of one of the main goals of copyright law.”
